About Merle Norman
Welcome To Merle Norman Langley. We are conveniently located in Willowbrook Mall. The store is owned and managed by Cheryl Dacosta. Cheryl started her career working for Merle Norman in 1979. After a successful 10-year career, she went on to work a large Canadian department store, spending time with both Estee Lauder and Clinique. This gave her an incredible insight into the mainstream cosmetic industry.
Her passion for the industry continued to grow and during this time she featured as a makeup artist for a local TV show. She also played an integral part in Miss teen Canada pageants in Alberta.
Moving to British Columbia in 1989 and having started a family she came to the realization that her destiny was to own her very own store. In 1990, Cheryl bought an existing Merle Norman store, located in a prime location in Richmond B.C. She soon grew that store to achieve the number one selling store within Canada.
In 1998 she expanded to a second location in the Willowbrook Mall where she still is today. This time she created the store from scratch. Never one to flee from a challenge; she put her heart and soul into developing this location. Starting with just one wax pot on the floor, she continued to grow the business each year by adding another wax pot location. She found her niche market was in eyebrow waxing alongside cosmetics and nail care. Today they have in 5 wax pots operating on a full-time basis.
Eyebrow waxing and shaping is now their signature service. They welcome walk-ins as well as appointments. Their chairs are rarely empty!
